You know the best thing about your morning commute, your Spotify playlist that keeps you going? It’s here to stay. Or rather, Spotify is here to stay in Australia, and is growing each year.

It’s been six years since the music, video and podcast streaming service came to Australia, and to celebrate its sixth anniversary, Spotify has released its six years in review, with insights into which artists Aussies have streamed the most, favourite albums and the most popular tracks, as well as a look at key global cultural moments and how they have influenced music.

For example, in 2012, Spotify’s first year i Australia, Aussies streamed over 55 average Australian lifetimes of local tracks compared to over 1,090 lifetimes in 2017! The review has proven what we all mostly know: that Aussies are music fanatics.
